Mobile virtual reality company Freefly VR is premiering a new form of relaxation experience at this year’s Gadget Show Live.

You are invited to be the first to try A Time in Space Leanback, a collaborative 7 minute virtual experience between Freefly VR, Paris ASMR, Mad Catz and VR production company Creanet3D.

As you lay-back on a state of the art massage chair, you will be handed a Freefly VR – the super immersive mobile powered VR headset that boasts up to 120 degrees field of view. To enhance the visual immersion, your ears will be in for a treat thanks to Mad Catz F.R.E.Q 9 wireless surround sound headphones.  With its lag free wireless aptX Audio technology and Digital Active Noise Cancellation, the ambient chaos of the NEC halls will be distant memory.

The experience, A Time in Space Leanback, is the creative work of Freefly VR partners Creanet3D.  Based in Cannes, France, the independent company are experts in mobile optimised VR content.  A Time in Space Leanback will take you on a futuristic spiritual journey into the cosmos.  Narrated by YouTube star Paris ASMR, the words are designed to send ‘tingles’ through your head and spine, to lull you into a deep sense of relaxation.

As you come to the end of your journey around the cosmos, you will enter the deep relaxation vortex, an experimental virtual reality piece that uses 3D binaural beats to conclude your deep state of bliss as you are counted down to your return to reality.

A Time in Space Leanback brings together several different mediums within virtual reality for the first time.  ASMR or Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response, has proven to be a YouTube sensation of recent times, and the virtual reality industry is finding it is a perfect genre for the deep immersion of virtual reality.  Using visual and audio ‘trigger’s, ASMR videos are relaxing millions of people across the globe with sensations scientists are yet to explain but are increasingly investigating.

Freefly VR intends to take this format further, through further collaborations with ASMR producers and experiments with various physical, audio, subliminal and visual cues within the framework of VR to create even deeper relaxation experiences.

Also at the Freeflly VR stand, Jake Slack, developer of the much anticipated noir detective VR title Private Eye, will be presenting 4 cut scenes from the game for the very first time, in glorious 360.

Freefly VR have been supported by Sony Mobile with Xperia Z5 phones to present mobile VR at its best.  With its Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 processor and fast screen response time, it the handset Freefly most recommends for its multi-phone compatible headset.

We look forward to welcoming you to Freefly stand J160 in Hall 3, opposite the Gadget Show Shop and providing you with an experience we feel you won’t forget.

Please feel free to share your experiences with our hashtag #freeflyvr and Twitter handle @freeflyvr with our partners @MadCatzUK, @sonyxperia, @PrivateEyeVR and @AtisSpace if relevant.
